Big Band music that evokes the Cannery Row of the 1930s-1940s sardine era which is associated with John Steinbeck's Cannery Row writings.

The Spanish guitar celebrates the city originally founded by Spain
which retains its Spanish character, Old Adobe residences and 
​traditions like the "Merienda."

Accordion and mandolin combine to offer nostalgia for the days of the the Italian fishermen and their fishing fleet, as well as, the decades of boat building in Monterey and the blessing of the boats.
