Master Boat Builders of Italy

The Siino Family
A Tribute to the Monterey Boat Works

In 2003, I was given an opportunity to share this story in the Pacific Grove Art Gallery. My first piece was to create a story in a photo montage using family photos.  This montage, is comprised of photos of my uncles I took for a photography class at Hartnell College in Salinas, California and other old photos found in my grandmother's and mother's archives.  It inspired me to find other photos, which I restored, digitized, enlarged and colorized.
The book introduces the reader to the Siino family of master boat builders, the Siino Boat Works and the Monterey Boat Works, the fishing boats built at the Boat Works, the Siino brothers (Ray and Frank) and finally, little known facts in "Tidbits" about the Monterey Boat Works.
About the "ocean view" above, that is taken from the movie Master Boat Builders of Italy
