3rd Street from PLAZA MARKET. Fear of earthquakes led Mrs. Lavagnino to declare, after 1906, that she would never again live in this two-story Adobe still standing since 1840. The Lavagnino Adobe and Tuccoletta Hall housed many thriving San Juan businesses; San Juan’s first movie theater, a dance hall, a bakery, a merchandise store, grocery stores, home of the Bonfanti family Nob Hill grocery chain.
